Excitement is in the air for our upcoming quilt show.
This show is the hi-lite of the year for us kennel girls. If you are in the area, it’s a ‘must see’ event!
What could be more beautiful than a backyard full of handmade quilts.
You will find them lining the fence as well as incorporated into fun vignettes. The luncheon and trunk show are both always fabulous and you will want to bring your pocket books. Shopping with the vendors is a delight. This year we will have a wonderful sale of donated surplus items. I can just imagine the goodies you’ll find there.
The funds earned from the surplus items is going for a wonderful cause. Catch Rachels Story here: https://www.facebook.com/events/430445407045418/
Mark your calendars and we look forward to seeing you!
Now onto this months meeting.
The meeting was held at Sue’s house and as you can see, she is one of those; “never an idle moment’ kind of gals. Stitching in hand and busy as usual.
We were all anxious to discuss our upcoming quilt show.
The two sisters, Lynda and Jill.
Janey and Amanda.
“The Queen”, Laurie and Joylyn.
I missed getting a photo of Diana and I but here she is with her ribbons from the latest Steel Days Quilt Show.
Bragging rights well deserved!
This sweet baby quilt made by Jill will be donated to charity.
And how cute is this one made by Diana for donation also.
Look at this darling truck quilt she made for a grandson. Sweet dreams are sure to be had sleeping under this!
I love the colors Joylyn used in her Union Jack Quilt! You will be getting a better look at all of these at the show.
She also shared this fun star quilt with a snowman border.
Love the minky polka dot back!
Laurie is a lover of all things ‘Halloween’. How fun is this chevron? Great fabrics and bright colors!
This is just a ‘sneak peek’ at what you will see at the quilt show.
Mark your calendars and we’ll see you there!
A Dog-Gone good time for all!
hugs,
the Kennel Girls
I am getting the names of all the salads and desserts that will be at the luncheon for the Quilt Show. Yummy...can hardly wait.
