One Step Back - November Guild

Well, I guess you need an explanation as to why I am taking one step back.  :)

When I did the previous post about our Christmas luncheon I was sure that I had taken photos at our November guild meeting.  I searched through all of my files and finally came to the conclusion that I had accidently deleted them so I went ahead and published Dec's. post.

Later that night it suddenly popped into my head that I had taken them with my phone.  (Senior moment, ya think?)

So here they are. Not the best quality, I'm afraid!

Rae Ann, our president has done such an amazing job this year!

Those in attendance were:  Nancy, Sue, Cheryl, and Amanda.

Janey and Lynda,

Marilyn, and Chris;

and me, (Cheryl and Amanda were nice enough to pose
 again with me)

Sue showed the wool mini's that many of them made at our
Oct. retreat.

How gorgeous is this star quilt Sue made as well?

As usual, she has been so busy.  I absolutely love this!

Close up of some of the detail.

Nancy shared this sweet tree table topper.

I love the colors in her present quilt!

Striped binding is always so fun!

So much work in this gorgeous patriotic quilt by Cheryl.  She created her own arrangement with the blocks.

The back is almost as wonderful as the front.

I think Marilyn made more than an apple a day to complete this sweet thing! :)

Many hours spent on this beautiful cross stitch.

Isn't this one by Chris bright and cheery?

Some of the gals have gotten back into cross stitch.  Janey showing this cute November one.

Keep on quilting,
the kennel girls.

December Christmas Luncheon

Here we are heading into a new year and the kennel girls have lots of fun things planned for '2017'

Next week in our January meeting Nancy will be demonstrating the square in a square ruler.

She's such a talented lady and I know that it will be a fabulous class!

We ended the year with a delicious Christmas luncheon held at the Country Club.  Lynda is such a doll to always set this up for us.

The ladies came ready to party.

(Nancy, Janey, Lynda, and Jill)

(Marilyn, and Rita)

(Amanda, Cheryl, and Sue)

(Joylyn and Sydney)

I got to pose with our cute president.

(Rae Ann and Jann)

Each of us brought a small token of friendship for each other.

We sipped on our sodas and enjoyed our gifts while waiting to
 be served.

Business was also conducted.  Our theme for '2016' was nine patch quilts.  Rae Ann shared with us throughout the year how many different forms of nine patch there are.

So many beautiful quilts were shared for show and tell.

Oh my, those tiny squares in the center of the stars!

How cute is this one by Rita?

 I love the colors!

Look at how fun the back is.

Rae Ann will add a pieced border to this sweet Christmas one shared by Lori Holt on Instagram.

Marilyn is hiding behind this beauty.

Oh, there she is!  :)

And here's Janey.  The comedian in our group.  Yup, she always keeps us laughing.

Here's her beautiful nine patch.

Jill shared these seasonal wool minis.  They are so fun!

Here's another darling nine patch by Nancy.

Two more gorgeous ones by Nancy as well.

I missed getting a photo of our delicious food, but I did snap one of the yummy cookies.  A little too chocolate chippy for my taste, but everyone else loved them!

I'm looking forward to sharing our quilting fun for '2017'!

Happy New Year,
the kennel girls
