“Oh What a Meal!

Ask anyone about the luncheon at our annual “Dog Kennel Quilt Show” and you might hear, “Oh YUM!”

The food is provided by the guild members.  I must admit, they are all some fantastic cooks.

Texas Roadhouse was kind enough to donate some of their wonderful rolls and cinnamon butter.

Not only is the food delicious, but look how cute the tables are set.

Cathy decorated them with a vintage flair and everything looked just darling!

Look at this dessert table, How sweet is that?

Every year we get requests for recipes so this year Jill put together a recipe book that we sold for $3.50.

Oh What A Day!

Although we had received rain the day before, yesterday could not have been a more pleasant day for our ‘2012 Dog Kennel Quilt Show”.

It is an annual outdoor show that we hold each year.  It is such a fun time for us kennel girls!

This year was our special ‘20 year’ celebration.  See our funny little dog logo?  He’s as crazy as us quilting gals.

I snapped this picture of one of our former members, Bernie.  Hope the show makes her realize what she’s been missing and ‘begs’ to come back.  Yes begs, remember we are the DOG kennel girls.

The front of Lynda’s home was lined with quilts that were either a group exchange or a doggy treat class.  We wanted to hi-lite what us girls had been up to for the past 20 years.

This is a group quilt we made featuring anything dog themed to hang at our annual show.

Each year we raffle off at least one quilt.  The money goes to charity.  This year we had 6 quilts.

#1 was a Fall themed group quilt.  We each made a block and them some of the members put it together.  Linda, from “Just Sew” a local quilt shop donated the quilting.  She did a fabulous job!

#2 and 3 were fun Halloween quilts
