September 2016 Guild Meeting

Here I am playing a little catch up again.

In September, our President; Rae Ann put out a call on Instagram and facebook for people to help with the relief of those having terrible flooding in Louisiana.

She showed a Crossroads quilt block and asked people to make one and give to her.  From there they would be assembled into quilts.

Boy, was her call ever answered!

Not only did she receive a lot of blocks, but also some funds that would help to purchase fabric for borders and backs.

She held a sewing day and they were able to put 6 Crossroad quilts together.  They ended up with a total of 16 quilts.  Some were smaller.  They also made several pillows.

After business was discussed we had show and tell.

Nancy is back into crossstitch and made the sweetest little house door hanger.

I love the trim she added to the bottom!

She shared a cute angel quilt,

And a fun basket one.  She has been very busy since moving back to Utah! Can you tell she's a bit camera shy?

Cheryl showed a wool ghost hanger and suggested they make them at retreat next month in St. George.  Some of the members had purchased patterns as well.

'BOO'tiful!

 Cheryl also shared this beauty.

I love the touches of wool!

Sue has been busy making her Halloween bags.  They are a big seller for her in her etsy shop.

But that's not all. . .look at what else she has made.

I'm sure this one is a big hit amongst her grands!

The stripes on the back are so fun.

And how cute is this?

The fabrics she used for the pumpkins are 'spooktacular'  :)

And one more. . .Busy Bee is she!

Lynda has been putting together the cutest little toppers.

Rain or shine, this one is fine!  lol!  Just had to throw that in.

I think you'll agree that this one is 'kite' cute!  Yup, I'm on a roll.  Someone stop me now!

I may not be funny, but I entertain myself.

We are happy that Chris has returned to the guild.  She had lots of pretties to share.

All this was done by machine.  Isn't it gorgeous?

Another breathtaking beauty!

I just knew you would want to get up close and personal!
Look at that quilting!!

Somehow I missed getting a group photo of those in attendance.

Looking forward to our next meeting!

Keep on quilting,
the Kennel Girls
