Piece in the Valley Field Trip

Well let me tell you, no one is any more fun that a bunch of quilting gals!

Especially when you get a couple of carloads full.

Today we took an amazing trip to Delta, Utah for the
"Piece in the Valley" quilt show.

Before we attended, we toured one of our members,

It was wonderful and the fun had just begun!

From there we went to the show.

This is the first thing we saw when we walked in.  Isn't it precious?

What little miss muffet wouldn't want to sit on that tuffet?  lol!

I loved the display of vintage sewing machines!

(I swooned over this mini Dresden plate!)

There were so many gorgeous quilts!  I couldn't begin to share them all.  I snapped photos of the ones that I liked best, or were unusual.

Sorry girls, if one of your favorites didn't make it in!

Just thought this was kind of quirky.

Love the colors in this one!

You voted for your favorite at the end.  I had a hard time choosing, but this Dresden plate got my vote.

Thought this would be so cute for Easter or a baby.

This row quilt featured patterns from various Utah towns.  The row with the boots is from a quilt store, Just Sew in Alpine.  Just up the road from where the Kennel Girls originated.

Another one of my favorites.

Some of us girls made a quilt with this fabric line quite
a few years ago.

Such fun embellishments!

Carmen Geddes, a gal that did a trunk show at our quilt show quite a few years ago was there selling.
These next two photos are of her displays.  She does amazing work!

Of course, I love anything with cherries!

Afterwards we had a delicious lunch, visited a quilt shop, and a craft fair.  One of the car loads headed to the reservoir to see the snow geese.  It was also their annual 'Snow Goose Festival'.  The other carload headed home.

We have another field trip scheduled in the near future.  I know it will also be a day full of fun and laughter!

Keep on quilting,
the kennel girls.
