There’s nothing quite as breathtaking as strolling thru a garden gate only to be greeted by fences lined with handmade quilts.
Each year the many hours spent by the kennel girls becomes apparent with the number of fabulous quilts displayed at our annual quilt show.
Friends, family and even strangers flock to see what the ‘girls’ have been up to.
Jill Carroll made the fun flower quilt and this darling Union Jack was one of Joylyn’s.
Some are more modern, while others. . .
lean towards the vintage side.
Some have elements of embroidery work. . .
Some tell a story. . .as in this Utah quilt made by Amanda.
There’s always beautiful applique work. This one was made by Diana.
It received a ‘special award’ in the Steel Days quilt show.
There are fun quilts for kids.
Even cute little doll houses.
And seasonal quilts. . .
Quilt lovers come to see the beautiful display as well as have a chance to win our ‘charity’ raffle quilt. This year it was this darling ‘Halloween’ quilt.
Members take turns sitting at the raffle table. No coaxing is necessary for tickets to be sold.
The ‘Queen’ never wastes a minute. She always has her sewing in hand.
Vendors come to sale their goods. . .
Our delicious luncheon is always a hi-lite!
With so many quilts to choose from, it’s hard to find a favorite. Wouldn’t you agree?
hugs,
the Kennel Girls!
What a lovely display of quilts! I'm a quilter too, so I appreciate all the hard work! They are beautiful!
