October is a beginning of a new year for our guild. Our quilt show in September is always the grand finale.
Members were anxious to hear what plans our new president, Diana had in store.
Rae Ann and Amanda (Pres. Elect,a.k.a. Queenie) Laurie and Sue
Lynda and (President) Diana
Judy was busily getting her calendar in order. Doesn’t she look studious?
After business was discussed, Show and Tell began.
Sue showed her darling woodsy door draft stopper that she made at the retreat. All finished and ready to put to use.
Also her fun turkey topper. This has so much dimension going on that you just have to touch it. Even the leaves are dimensional.
It’s hard to tell in the pics, but they are.
Judy and Susann are loving it all!
I had gotten my sunflower quilt back from the quilters. Doesn’t quilting make such a difference? I used the leftover fabric on my back.
As you can see, I was still working on the binding.
Sue had finished this mini star quilt and Lynda showed her darling flower/ladybug topper. Can’t wait to see it finished.
Lynda was hesitant to show us this sweet turquoise and pink quilt she was making for a new grand baby until it was finished. We just had to have a peek.
Look at all of these cute embellishments she’ll be adding.
Our new Pres. has been so busy working on three different applique quilts. Love, love these!
JoyLyn explained the rules for our P.I.G.S. (Projects in Grocery Sacks). The more you use from your stash, the more points you will receive. There will be prizes in the end.
Rae Ann showed us blocks of the month. They are the same as our Aunt Gracies charity quilt we raffled off at our Sept. show. They look entirely different out of this fabric. Still just as darling!
Those who had completed their blocks got their name put in for a free gift. Compliments of Rae Ann.
Diana won this months drawing. It was a kit to make a small purse/bag. I’m sure she’ll have it whipped up in no time.
Our meetings are always such an inspiration to me. I love spending time with these talented ladies.
Today we meet for our Nov. meeting. Check back soon for a new post.
