What a fun meeting we had in November.
We met at Lynda’s home, discussed business and then toured her sewing room.
La Ree, Cheryl, Janey, and Rita.
Lynda, Amanda, and Joylyn.
Susann, Cindy, and Jann.
Before we toured Lyndas sewing room Rita showed us the group quilt that we will be donating to the Festival of the Trees.
twelve of us made a block and then Diana and Rita put it together and Joylyn bound it. Rita had it quilted and the gal did a fabulous job!
The money raised from the donated quilts goes to charity. We appropriately named it, “Basket of Love”.
The coloring in the top photo is a little off so I’m showing a close up. Plus I wanted you to see the quilting!
Then we had show and tell. After seeing the darling card table house that Lynda made for her granddaughter Rita is taking on the task of making multiple ones for her family.
Aren’t they going to be sweet?
Janey showed this wonderful log cabin quilt she made in Fall colors.
And this cute Halloween quilt she made for one of her children.
Amanda made this great outdoors block quilt for her husband.
And a couple of wonderful wool projects.
Cheryl showed her latest wool project for Thanksgiving.
And I showed this homespun half square triangle quilt that I made for one of my grandsons. It still needs to be bound.
Now on to the tour. . .
This sweet scene greets us at the top of the stairs before entering the room.
Lynda’s sewing room is such a large space that use to be their master bedroom.
This cute grouping holds a wonderful sampling of her stitch and quilt work.
The bench is covered with lots of fun pillows.
She recently got the wooden and metal hem marker that once belonged to her grandmother.
This fabulous mirror is another family heirloom.
Lynda made this fun skirt to soften her quilting machine.
This blue cabinet holds her thread.
Projects waiting to be completed. The top piece also belonged to her grandmother.
Sweet mini quilt.
Vintage quilts made by her grandmother.
Decorative tins for storage.
Look how organized her closet is.
Thanks Lynda for sharing your wonderful room with us!
Happy Quilting,
The Kennel Girls
