Hello from the Kennel Girls!

Although we were not able to tour RaeAnn’s sewing room this month the wonderful collections in her home did not leave us disappointed.

She welcomed us in and we had a wonderful meeting.

Her kitchen and family room held such vintage eye candy. . .

Some she has collected and others were family heirlooms.

So many fun things !

After I finished snapping we started the meeting.

Many of the members had their basket blocks completed for our charity quilt.

In attendance was Amanda, RaeAnn, Cindy, Rita, Susann, Lynda, and Jill.

And of course they insisted on another group photo which included me,

Rita amazed us again with her fabulous show and tell.

Isn’t this quilt fun for the Lego lover?

She had completed this fabulous quilt for her 80 year old mother.

She even made pillow shams to match.

Is this not gorgeous?

I was almost embarrassed to follow with this little quilt.  But must admit. . .I have had the fabric for years so I am happy to have it finished!  Notice it isn’t bound yet?

Afterwards I snapped a few of the quilts RaeAnn had on display in her home.

She took us upstairs to a spare bedroom and showed us what she has been working on.

I love this fussy cut block!

Other quilts we saw upstairs.

We had a fun time!   Lynda explained how to make her pillow bundle rolls and some of the members stayed and sewed for a couple hours.

Sewing Room Tour #2 and April Guild Meeting. . .

Our second sewing room tour took place at the home of our wonderful President,  Amanda.

I was out of town and so sad that I missed it!  Thanks to RaeAnn and Rita for taking these photos.

The Kennel girls received a bit of ‘love’ from this birdhouse at the entrance of Amanda’s home.

And this cute umbrella filled with blooms couldn’t help but bring a ray of sunshine!

Her talent is evident by the many handmade pillows and quilts she had on display.

This sweet vignette is just outside the entrance to her sewing room.

Love this vintage ironing board with the cute cover she made.

Beautiful appliqued ‘Chocolate Bunnies’  quilt!

I have a weakness for toy sewing machines.  Isn’t this red one a beauty?  Sweet vintage Josephs Original figurine.  Notice the photo of cute Amanda in the background?

Darling framed Dresden hangs above the black shelf.

Her feather weight and gorgeous stack of ribbons.

Amanda’s room is both functional and pretty!
