Spring has arrived for the Kennel Girls.

Yes, I know that it’s July, but I am still playing catch up.  Better late than never, right?

Spring is in the air and the girls have been ever so busy.  Let me just warn you now, this is going to be a long post.  Lots and lots of eye candy coming your way.

Look at Rae Ann, Suzanne, and Judy.  Don’t they look excited to see what everyone has for show and tell?

It’s not often Joy Lyn gets to come so is she ever happy?  And were just as happy to see her!  Notice her darling bag?

Cute Amanda, so organized and ready to take notes.

Let’s start off with our president, Diana.  She has been so busy making the blocks and applique for this quilt.  Can’t wait to see it when she has it all sewn together.  Don’t you love the cheery colors?

She just bought this kit.  I can’t believe how much she has gotten done already.

Can you tell she loves applique?  Look at this!  So, so cute!

Our president elect, Laurie had lots to share.  She always hides behind her quilts so glad that I snapped this.  She looks so cute in a hat.

IMG_6125

I love this Halloween quilt.  Amanda is helping her show it, but as you can see Laurie is no where to be seen.

She’s also working on this fun one featuring portraits of the ‘ghastlies’.

IMG_6148

She showed this cute star quilt.

IMG_6146

As well as this darling pinwheel.  I love the random pops of red!

IMG_6145

Last of all she showed us this lady bug quilt.  Perfect for Spring!

IMG_6142

Oh lookie there, someone’s peeking out.

IMG_6143

Judy had also been very busy finishing quilts that she had started.

IMG_6131

This bunny applique is so precious.  Love the soft pinks and greens.

IMG_6132

Another beauty.  I would never have thought to put all of these colors together, but isn’t it wonderful?

A close up of some of the blocks and love the polka dot back!

IMG_6136

If that wasn’t enough, then she made a smaller one.  Love these colors also.

IMG_6137

The back is almost as cute as the front.

IMG_6139

This one is a Schnibbles quilt that Rae Ann taught us last year.  I made one and it was a lot of fun.

IMG_6130

Doesn’t this primitive quilt make you just want to decorate for Halloween? lol!

IMG_6128

IMG_6129

Look at this cute number Rae Ann made.  It has a vintage feel.

I’m almost embarrassed now to show what I had. But I am happy to say that I finished my shirt apron. Well almost, I still need to add the ties. That’s why I am holding it back with my hands.

IMG_6140

I also brought this bag that my SIL and I made for a bridal shower gift.  Easy and fun use of a jelly roll.

At the conclusion of the meeting those who had their blocks made for our charity quilt we will be giving away at our September quilt show turned them in to Diana.

Amanda, Judy, and Diana’s blocks.

As you can see, the gals have been dog gone busy.

I think that we are all addicted and when one quilt is finished we just say, “toss us another bone”.

Playing Catch Up. . .

Don’t ask me why, but I have been M.I.A. (missing in action).  I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t posted since January.

You might remember that at our January meeting Rae Ann did an apron trunk show and modeled her apron made from a man’s shirt.  Everyone was so excited and anxious to try making one of their own.  It was decided that February would be a doggy treat class and we would work on our aprons.

Our president, Diana is conducting our meeting.  Displayed behind her are three aprons made from shirts.

Here Rae Ann is showing us how to cut the shirt to make the apron.

IMG_5468

Judy had already made one so she modeled it for us.  Isn’t it cute?  Love the pom pom trim.

IMG_5465

IMG_5467

See how this pocket is made from part of the shirt sleeve and cuff.  How clever is that?

IMG_5466

Because her apron was made she brought this darling Fall block to work on.  I love it!

IMG_5470

Can’t wait to see everyone’s aprons.  Hope you’ll come back!
